More InformationCreate training plans.
As simple and personalized as never before.
Activity analysis is a breathing gas analysis under stress and provides the perfect basis for a training plan that is individually tailored to the metabolism, performance level, personal requirements, and goals of your clients and patients.
Easy to implement—automatic evaluation!
Determine your clients' heart rate zones, fat metabolism, VO2 max, and more in just 30 minutes.
How it works
1. Perform
analysis
For uVida Activity, a 20- to 30-minute step test is performed, which can be completed on a bike or treadmill, depending on preference.
2. Automatic
evaluation
The analysis shows exactly in which heart rate range your clients' fat burning is most effective, when performance improvement is possible, and at what point their bodies become overly acidic.
3. Actionable recommendations
-

Values from the Activity Analyse
- Pulse ranges - for optimal and individual endurance training support (targeted GA1 training helps us to boost a person's fat metabolism, for example).
- IAAT - the individual anaerobic threshold represents the transition between fat and carbohydrate metabolism. This is important for the efficient achievement of all goals, from losing weight to freedom from pain and improved performance.
- FATmax the level of maximum fat metabolism, accompanied by a very high oxygen saturation.
- VO2 max - maximum oxygen uptake capacity during physical exertion (interesting for long Covid care, among other things).
- Recovery recovery speed after exertion reveals a great deal about whether a person has been training efficiently or not
- Max. Capacity - Indication of the maximum power in watts or km/h (pace) and the maximum heart rate.
- VT1 + VT2 ventilatory thresholds for athletes dedicated to endurance sports such as triathlon or (half) marathons.
- Also available as PDF

Frequently asked questions
Do you still have questions? Maybe there's something here for you!
The FATmax measurement is independent of the type of sport, as long as the analysis is conducted during a continuous endurance test (e.g., cycling, treadmill). While differences may occur between training modalities, the values reliably indicate an individual’s fat metabolism capacity and help identify the most effective training zone.
Changes in heart rate zones, FATmax, VO2max, or recovery are typically measurable after 4–6 weeks of regular training. Repeat measurements (re-tests) allow you to precisely adjust training intensity, volume, or recovery periods, while objectively tracking progress.
Yes. The analysis provides metabolic and heart rate data that are relevant across sports. Intensity zones, fat metabolism values, and ventilatory thresholds can be applied to almost any endurance discipline, allowing for individualized training plans regardless of the sport.

Yes. The step test is tailored to each client’s fitness level. For untrained individuals, the workload is increased gradually to prevent overexertion, while accurately capturing respiratory and metabolic data. This allows appropriate training zones to be determined right from the start.

Every customer has different needs, which is why the plan is tailored precisely to his or her requirements and goals.
VT1 and VT2 indicate the ventilatory thresholds, marking the individual transition between aerobic and anaerobic effort. Trainers can directly translate these values into heart rate zones and use them for endurance sessions, interval workouts, or recovery sessions, helping to prevent overtraining and achieve training goals efficiently.
